    Please state what version of Ubuntu you are using, did you install xfce on Ubuntu or are you using xubuntu? the more information you can provide the more likely someone can help you.

    This is an older answer that may help:

    https://forum.xfce.org/viewtopic.php?id=9998

    I am not sure it still applies.

    Re: Issues with FirewallD and Discover

    Can you show us the output of:
    Code:
    apt policy policykit-1-gnome
    BTW your thread title is a bit confusing as well >> [lubuntu] is there any lxde session installed?
    EDIT anyway lets have a look at "policykit-1-gnome" if it is installed with:
    Code:
    cat /etc/xdg/autostart/polkit-gnome-authentication-agent-1.desktop
    [Desktop Entry]
    Name=PolicyKit Authentication Agent
    Comment=PolicyKit Authentication Agent
    Exec=/usr/lib/policykit-1-gnome/polkit-gnome-authentication-agent-1
    Terminal=false
    Type=Application
    Categories=
    NoDisplay=true
    OnlyShowIn=XFCE;Unity;X-Cinnamon;
    X-GNOME-AutoRestart=true
    AutostartCondition=GNOME3 unless-session gnome
    X-Ubuntu-Gettext-Domain=polkit-gnome-1
