Touchpad Not working with 5.x kernels

I recently bought a new laptop (Lenovo ideapad 530S-14ARR). While testing the 5.x series (now currently using the latest 5.1 RC) I had 1 main issue - my touchpad doesn't work. With the 4.18 it works fine.

If I run "cat /proc/bus/input/devices > ~/devices" on the 4.18 kernel, I see the following:
    I: Bus=0018 Vendor=06cb Product=7f27 Version=0100
    N: Name="MSFT0001:00 06CB:7F27 Touchpad"
    P: Phys=i2c-MSFT0001:00
    S: Sysfs=/devices/platform/AMDI0011:01/i2c-2/i2c-MSFT0001:00/0018:06CB:7F27.0003/input/input16
    U: Uniq=
    H: Handlers=mouse1 event10
    B: PROP=5

    B: KEY=e520 10000 0 0 0 0
    B: ABS=260800000000003
    B: MSC=20

But when i run the same command in 5.x, it doesn't appear at all. Does anyone have clue how to resolve it?

testing this command on desktop does not produce anything. The kernel version is 4.15 though. Is this command supposed to work only with laptops? 5.x kernels are already released for ubuntu 19.04. Did you have any luck with these updated versions?

    Regards!
