I guess you will be better off by searching the other way around: When you have found a cheap card then just look in the forum to see which experiences people have.
Used hardware is often easier to deal with than stuff bought in a store.

Don't use this space for a list of your hardware. It only creates false hits in the search engines.
Could you please expand on that? Back when I was a government contractor, I was fluent in the language of acronyms, but not any more.OOTB?
OOTB= Out Of The Box
Grab an Intel 7260 wifi card
I need a big pci express, the kind that can hold a video card, not one of those little half credit card things. Not much to go on for those, else I would just grab an Intel and be done. It's a Dell Optiplex. Doesn't have one of those mini slots. Unless there are adapters? Or do they fit in those slots?
There are PCI adapters for the mini PCI(e) cards like https://www.amazon.com/Fenvi-Express...gateway&sr=8-6
They just fit.Or do they fit in those slots?
You can put a smaller pcie card like a pcie x1 card in a larger slot like the slot typically used for a gpu which is a pcie x16 slot.
That's a design feature of pcie.
