"Good support" for this scanner. What's the problem?

    Hi,

    Thanks for your advise.

I'm prepared to purchase a new scanner to work on my old stock of film negatives, converting the same to digital. Although my old Epson Perfection 3490 Photo is still working but the max resolution is only 3200 dpi.

I'm now targeting on following 2 scanners
    1) CanoScan 9000F Mark II
    2) Epson Perfection V800 Photo Scanner

My finding is 1) above seems suitable for my application but it is phasing out therefore I'm now considering 2) above.

I haven't finalized my decision yet.

    Regards

Also, please note that Epson V800 is well-supported by Vuescan (https://www.hamrick.com/vuescan/epso...tion_v800.html), the third-party proprietary application which supports Linux as well. If you are going to scan films, Vuescan might be a preferred option.
