    how to use firewall gufw?

    hi

    1. i have it install and switched on is currently doing anything for security? or do i have to config it before doing anything?

    2. if i want a really secure setup what should i add to gufw rules?

    3. how do i say for example block specific ip?

    4. how do i block a specific program, i will just pick something at random say rhythm box mp3 player? (i dont want block it but its installed so...)

    +1. However, the UFW is disabled by default. You either have to enable it from the command line or use the GUFW to enable it has you have already done. You generally do not have to do anything else unless you have specific requirements. The link provided by Frogs Hair provides examples of "how to".
