***Skype*** #Microphone# Ubuntu 18.04 Problem

Hi,

I'm using Ubuntu 18.04 on a Lenovo Thinkpad and am having problems with the latest boutique version of Skype (classic Skype is no longer available).

Basically, Skype does not recognize my microphone, so my friends can't hear me. I can hear them, though.

Anyone know what I need to do in Ubuntu 18.04 to fix the problem? Skype is no use, as they got rid of their tools button with the boutique interface.
