C++ was my first language I started to learn, can recommend Codecademy too, when I started many years ago there were only books on the market, my with such interactive tools now learning is much easier.

C++ is an object oriented programming language. However, it uses pointers. Also, it has a feature called multiple inheritance which causes failure and ambiguity. I recommend java language.
