    Ubunut 18.04 Guest Not Shutting Down via virsh shutdown

    Hi there,

    Having a bit of an odd problem here with an Ubunutu 18.04 (desktop) guest.
    I am completely unable to shutdown the guest via a virsh shutdown command.
    The command itself reports no error but the VM just doesn't do anything.
    All my other guests shutdown fine (both Linux and Windows).
    The host is running Debian 9.

    I have confirmed I have acpid installed and running (included some output at the bottom of this post)
    I've also tried forcing acpi shutdown in grub to no avail.

    Does anyone have any suggestions?

    Thanks
    Steve

    EDIT - Solved

    Needed to create an event handler for the power button:
    Code:
    sudo nano /etc/acpi/events/powerbtn

    Code:
    event=button/power
    action=/sbin/poweroff
    Code:
    sudo service acpid restart
