    sudo deborphan | xargs sudo apt-get -y remove --purge ERROR

    The error is:

    Code:
    administrator@xtrapcpro64:~$ sudo deborphan | xargs sudo apt-get -y remove --purge E: Could not get lock /var/lib/dpkg/lock-frontend - open (11: Resource temporarily unavailable) 
    E: Unable to acquire the dpkg frontend lock (/var/lib/dpkg/lock-frontend), is another process using it?
    The OS is:

    Ubuntu on a thumb drive.

    The objective is to follow this Tutorial:

    I am fine until I get to the instruction:

    Code:
    sudo deborphan | xargs sudo apt-get -y remove --purge
    and that is when I get the error.

    Any help is appreciated in advance.

    Close synaptic before running the command.
