I was experimenting with a WinToUSB install of windows 10 on a usb flash drive and when I returned to xubuntu I found a partition had 'gone' read only.
Code:

makem@ssdTOSH:/media/WinData$ mkdir test
mkdir: cannot create directory ‘test’: Read-only file system

The partition is mounted:
Code:
# /etc/fstab: static file system information.
#
# Use 'blkid' to print the universally unique identifier for a
# device; this may be used with UUID= as a more robust way to name devices
# that works even if disks are added and removed. See fstab(5).

I have attempted to unmount and force a remount but cannot get the method correct and it fails.
Any guidance how to recover this correct permissions would be appreciated.
EDIT:
Code:
makem@ssdTOSH:~$ grep sdb6 /proc/mounts
/dev/sdb6 /media/WinData fuseblk ro,relatime,user_id=0,group_id=0,allow_other,blksize=4096 0 0
