Lock user - goes to blank screen

Good afternoon,

I have a HP Zbook 15 G4 were I was able to install 18.04 LTS. When I lock my user, i see the lock screen then it goes to a blank screen were I am unable to recover from without a reboot.

Let me know what else you might need?

The screen going blank when you lock the computer is what's supposed to happen.

I don't know why you can't wake it up again.

You might be able to SSH to it from another computer to determine whether it's crashed, or just isn't getting keyboard/mouse input, or what.

the system doesn't crash, even when it timeout from inactivity it does the same thing...

fixed the black screen issue with locking account or logging out. - this was fixed my making sure I used the nvidia drivers.

however when the computer times out or goes to sleep I just get the black screen.
