Mouse location using Ctrl key in Gnome Flashback
I'm using "Gnome Flashback (Metacity)" under Ubuntu 18.04.1 LTS, and attempting to get the mouse cursor locator running.
This has worked for me in past releases, including 16.04 LTS: when I hit the Ctrl key, there was "radar ping" that appeared around the cursor.
I've tried both of the following, and neither issues a ping when Ctrl is pressed:
- In the gnome-tweaks tab "Keyboard & Mouse" set "Pointer Location" to "ON"
- In bash, issued "gsettings set org.gnome.settings-daemon.peripherals.mouse locate-pointer true"
I've also tried logging out and logging back in; no luck.
Thanks in advance for any tips.
