Temps of cpu and gpu on display when gaming

    Hello ubuntuforums,

Is there any repo software available to always sticky show the temps of cpu and gpu on the screen on top of the screen somewhere in a corner, so that I can always see the temps of my pc when gaming?

    Thnx!

Conky with the above window_hint would probably do that.

Some desktop environments have panel indicators but the GPU has no support on my desktop. A conky configuration will work depending how much screen is used when gaming. It is possible to create a horizontal conky that can be placed on the top/bottom edge of the screen, but this can take a little work and at least for me was fun. Many examples of conky here.

Conky will only display above a game when played in windowed mode.
eg a normal conky window set above

In xfce my Super+d (toggle desktop) button is still active in fullscreen games
so I can have a quicklook at my conky monitor.
