I used a Mini.iso CD to install Lubuntu 16.04 LTS on Blue & White G3 PowerPC (couldn't get the G3 to recognize a full install DVD), then installed a Lubuntu desktop using Terminal commands. However, the system is running much slower than I anticipated, e.g. it takes almost 6 minutes to boot, whereas previously Mac OS 10.4.11 took about 2 minutes. Installation took several tries, with a few hangs, so it's possible I'm missing some components. The display is very choppy and pixelated, too, so I wonder if it's a video card issue (ATI Rage 128 with just 16 MB VRAM).
Below are the hardware specs (gathered from "About This Mac" etc prior to installing Lubuntu). Any suggestions appreciated; can copy and paste logs that may be pertinent. Thanks.
