How is battery life on that laptop?

I mean, are we dealing with a fan control problem or is Ubuntu just producing more heat than Windows? That wouldn't be uncommon in the Linux world, as hardware manufacturers provide good drivers for use on Windows, but not always for Linux. Speaking of drivers, are there proprietary drivers available for your hardware and have you installed them? Check in Software & Updates → additional drivers (or something like that).

The battery is fine. Besides, I don't always use my battery.
I don't think the laptop is producing heat.
