How to delete old images from Forum site

I've just been given great help on this forum to overcome an issue with partitioning. As a result there's a stack of now redundant screenshot images cluttering up my Upload Manager "Home" folder here.
I can't yet see a way of deleting these - is there one?

Or are they needed there to keep displaying, if others read the thread?

    Thanks.

Go to your profile settings, scroll to attachments , and select the image check box on the right. On the bottom of the page use the delete selected button. If the image is part of a solution and will help another user with the same problem please leave it as is.

    Hello!

I am going to be somewhat more unequivocal: Don't remove them.

The Forums exist for the benefit of the community. They aren't really a strictly selfish personal answer venue. Removing the images would damage the opportunity for others to benefit -- and we'd probably consider it defacement.

    Thanks!

OK, not a problem. I'll leave them, and thanks for the explanation: I didn't know if my deleting what appears in my own Manager would also lose what's on the site, or not.
Now I know it would lose them, they stay.
    Thanks again.

Not sure whether I've misunderstood your meaning here but you can delete any images on your own local filesystem, ie, generally in your home's Pictures folder, without them being removed from the posts on this forum; perhaps you mean the forum attachment Manager when you speak of "my own Manager", and if so just ignore me.

Screenshot_2018-11-21 Manage Attachments - Ubuntu Forums.png Sorry to be vague in my language. I meant this one. (Thereby adding another image to the collection!)
I didn't know if the ones shown in that upper area would be safe to delete, and if so, how to do so. But it seems from the above posts that these are the ones to be kept for posterity, so I'll quite cheerfully leave them there.
With apologies for lack of understanding.

The screenshot looks to me like a list of photos you've already uploaded to the forum servers, and which are stored separately from any copies you might still have sitting on your own computer.
