I use 16.04. I installed 18.10 as a virtual machine. It's like going back to the stone age, and (God forbid) Windows. No workspaces. Minimize and maximize constantly. No thank you. What a pain. Is there any way to get workspaces in gnome?

Work spaces appear on the right when the activities button is selected and you can also install a shell extension to place a indicator on the panel. The Unity desktop is also available for installation on 18.04.
