problem with email notifications sometimes

I use gmail and thunderbird so now we know the email client and email service are not a factor.

Since I made the above post I've been getting email notices for Word Association thread I'm subscribed to. Does this mean it's fixed?

Update:

To answer my post before this one, no it's not fixed, however it does notify me sometimes as opposed to nearly never. When I first made this thread it was sometimes then nearly never. Now it's sometimes again.
