U18.04 ASUS x542u keyboard Num pad not working

I have a new Notebook, an ASUS Vivobook X542URR. No problems installing U18.04, but the keyboard Num pad does not work. Any ideas would be welcomed. In advance my thanks.

Dumb question, but are you sure that you just don't have it disabled by the numlock key?

Yes I checked the NumLock key. According to the manual NumLock is toggled by Shift+NumLock. Does not work, hence my request for help. Thank you for the attempt any how.

Same problem here with my Logitech K350. When I press the Num Lock key I just get the system error sound.
