    Thunar left pane missing

I've been searching for a solution on forums but cannot find one that fits. A few days ago the left pane of the file manager in my Xubuntu 14.04.5 system was no longer there. It's where the downloads, documents, desktop, and any inserted USB volumes are. Don't know if I did something or an update did it or whatever. But i really want it back. Don't know how to eject a flash drive without it, but I use it for a lot of other things too. Any help appreciated.

Nautilus includes a check box for enabling and disabling the side pane. Check in Thunar's settings for a similar feature.

Under View / side pane I selected shortcuts and ... no change. I selected tree and also no change. So put it back to shortcuts. Still no left pane.

Is there a send to side pane option when you right click a folder ?

No. Just tried that. I would post a screenshot if I knew how.

    Re: Thunar left pane missing

I just tried to send the desk top folder to side pane. It was not greyed out. Now it is greyed out, (after sending it to side pane) but I don't see any change in the appearance of the File manager.

    Re: Thunar left pane missing

Just discovered that the side pane was super minimized. I dragged it out and there everything was. Thanks for your interest.
