I tried to post a new thread but I kept getting errors that I do not have permissions.

When I tried to submit a new thread in the general forums, it says:
Forbidden
You don't have permission to access /newthread.php on this server.

Where exactly in the "general forums" are you trying to post? If you go here and click "Post New Thread," does it still happen? I checked your account details and can't find anything that would lead me to believe your posting privileges have been curtailed in any way.
Have you tried logging out and logging back in?
