New build compatibility with Ubuntu 18.04

Hello! This is my first post here.

I'm working on a new build computer (components listed below) and I am looking for advice, recommendations, etc before I buy (and build).

Are these components going too cause me any trouble the first time I boot into Ubuntu?

Are they going to cause me any trouble doing video editing and rendering in kdenlive?

Anything I should know? All helpful tips, experience and know how is appreciated!

    Components list:
    CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 2600
    Motherboard: Asus prime x470-pro
    GPU: RX 580 or GTX 1060 6g/3g
Ram: probably Corsair vengeance LPX 3000mhz c15
    EVGA 750w power supply

    Thank you in advance.

I will only comment on the graphics card: I prefer Nvidia because Nvidia makes their drivers available to Linux. that makes installing and updating the driver much easier than Radeon's.

Thanks: I am really stuck and confused about the GPU. I have asked and keep getting completely opposite answers from Linux users: I really just want something that is plug and play.

AMD is better because of better open source driver support from AMD to Linux.
Nvidia is better because of proprietary drivers from Nvidia.
AMD is better because it works better in linux
Nvidia is better because it works better in linux
    Etc

A slightly older card is better because the bugs are worked out
Older gpu cards are worse because they lack long term support

The rx580 is better because it's plug and play with Linux
The GTX 1060 is better because...etc

Etc. I find myself unable to proceed because of completely contradicting advice and really, I just need to get your purchased so I can get my new computer up and running with no or little hassle.

    Please help.
