    Question customizing ubuntu mate

basic question - but how do I customize Ubuntu Mate (freshly installed as a VM to give it a try)
Tweak and Appearance give limited options.
How do I install more themes and effects?
    Cheers!

    Re: customizing ubuntu mate

    Thanks a lot!
While waiting, I tried installing and using Compizconfig, but it did not seem to make any difference (for example, selecting "wobbly windows" option made no difference).
I selected compiz as window manager in Tweaks.
However, in another thread someone suggested that Compiz may not work in VM. Any advice?
Or - can I get effects like wobbly windows and worspace cube without compiz?
    Cheers!

Compiz may well not work in a VM. You need compiz to get those wobbly windows. You might want to install it as your primary OS; for me, after 10 years of using various Linux distros, it is, hands down. the very best distribution available, and Ubuntu MATE is where all MATE development happens.

    Of course, that is IMHO.
