No video when waking from sleep

After waking from sleep i don't have any video, fans on the GPU don't even spin up.
Other parts of the computer seem to work, CPU and case fans spin up, fancy LED lights on the case turn on, pressing caps lock on the keyboard toggles the indicator LED, just the GPU doesn't seem to turn on.
I'm dual-booting with Windows 8 and that wakes from sleep just fine.
Is this a bug? Anything i can do to fix it?

Mem: 15.6GiB (2x8 Corsair DDR4-3200)
CPU: Intel Core i7-8700K @ 3.70GHz
GPU: GeForce GTX 1080 (Gigabyte WINDFORCE)
MB: Asus PRIME Z370-A
PSU: Antec HCG850 ATX
500GB nvme SSD and 2TB sata HDD
