Request: Please add Mint to the "other os" posting menu

    Hi,

There is a menu for other ( Ubuntu Debian based ) operating systems that lists the names of those operating systems to put in as a prefix in the title of a new post.

That menu can be found by going to:

The Ubuntu Forum Community > Other Discussion and Support > Other OS Support and Projects > Other Operating Systems > Ubuntu/Debian BASED > Post New Thread

The menu doesn't include a choice for Mint.

Please consider adding such an option.

    Thanks much either way.

Mint already has a section all it's own:

Edit: oh you mean add a prefix.
Weird, I thought it had one there already.
(I guess not, or not anymore. I see a linuxmint prefix in Any Other OS, though)

People that help on the forum know you are using mint just by the fact that your thread is in the mint sub-forum.

I was on my cell phone earlier when I replied but for clarification where your thread is posted it is listed as such:
Forum>The Ubuntu Forum Community>Other Discussion and Support>Other OS Support and Projects>Other Operating Systems>MINT
which clearly tells the volunteers on the forum that you are using mint, we do not allow any other operating systems to be placed in the mint sub-forum under the heading "Other Operating Systems".

You chose that sub-forum from the following link, I believe that is already the best means for telling the volunteers here that you are using mint so in my opinion the mint prefix is not needed, the reason "Any Other OS sub-forum" has prefixes is because that is where we put any operating systems that are not an officially supported flavour and that do not have there own sub-forum under the heading "Other Operating Systems".

    I hope that makes sense.
