Hi. I installed Ubuntu 18.04 recently and everything was a success, it is booted alongside windows.
Like most, my audio will not work, however, it did the first day or so and I do not know what has happened.
I have tried numerous things like getting rid of the pulseaudio profile, rebooting it, rebooting alsa, using pu

I tried doing
HTML Code:
sudo rm /etc/acpi/events/headphone-jack
sudo rm /etc/acpi/headphone-jack.sh
and none of the files existed.

I am at a loss on how to fix this and haven't even begun to try and fix the brightness issue.

Here are some specs.
Memory: 15.6 GB
Processor: Intel i7-7700HQ CPU@ 2.80GHz x 8
Graphics: GeForce GTX 1060/PCle/SSE2
Gnome: 3.28.2
OS: x64
Disk: 489.3 GB

Also I did a command and found out that my sound card is intel cm238 rev 31. I don't know how to install potential drivers for these on ubuntu as I havent figured out .exe files on linux yet. Any help or leads whatsoever are appreciated. I would refrain from posting this but every single tutorial didn't fit my needs.
