Hi all,
I've recently come back to Ubuntu, in part because of the Steam Play announcement by Valve.
When I first installed Steam, I was able to run the one game I tried (Call of Duty MW2).
Since then I've tried many different things to try to get various games working. Unfortunately now every Steam Play game shows the pop up "Preparing to Launch" and then nothing. Running steam from CLI doesn't give any debug info at all.
My current setup (please let me know what else I can add):
Ubuntu 18.04
Steam with Proton 3.7-3 "Enable for all titles"
GTX 970 with Nvidia 396.54 driver
Games are installed on ext4 partition and game cache has been verified
If it matters, native Linux steam games seem fine, as well as Battle.net and Blizzard games.
Please let me know what I can try? Really trying to avoid a fresh OS install.
Kind regards,
ara
