    Remove and repartition

My windows 10 machine has gone to crap because I dual booted a long time ago and put ubuntu as primary os on the hard drive. Linux can't run the programs I'm running these days so I want to remove and put everything where it's supposed to go with win10. I'm only using this machine for 3D modeling and tool path creation, and the win10 programs I have work perfectly, albeit slow because windows is on the "outside" of my drive from my dual boot done years ago. Help?

    Re: Remove and repartition

Not sure what you mean by "windows is on the "outside" of my drive". You currently have both Ubuntu and windows installed, correct? Is the problem that you have the Ubuntu bootloader booting both? You should be able to easily use a windows DVD (if you have one) or the windows Recovery CD you created when you first booted windows to Repair the bootloader and have the windows bootloader take over the system. If you don't have either that could be a problem but you should be able to download a windows iso file to repair your specific version of windows.

If you want only windows and not Ubuntu, I think you would get more useful instructions at a windows forum.

    Moved to Windows sub-forum.

If Windows installed, you should be able to just boot it directly and it will run the same.
Only if you installed it in virtualbox may it then be slower. But then if you remove Ubuntu you have to totally reinstall Windows.
