I need your help with this mount problem

    Code:
There was an error accessing "2.7 TiB Hard Drive",
    the system responded:
    The requested operation has failed:
    Error mounting /dev/sdd2 at /media/cm/780a98da-4ccf-46f8-a53b-f0f86181df7d:
    Command-line `mount -t "ext4" -o "uhelper=udisks2,nodev,nosuid"
    "/dev/sdd2" "/media/cm/780a98da-4ccf-46f8-a53b-f0f86181df7d"
'exited with non-zero exit status 32:
mount: wrong fs type, bad option, bad superblock on /dev/sdd2,
missing codepage or helper program, or other error
In some cases useful info is found in syslog - try dmesg | tail or so.

As you can see reinstalling it's a major loss of information.

    Things you must know:
    It was a guided installation
    Don't has partition /home

When I've tried to repair the installation from a live usb
I've noticed there is an option to install without formatting.

    My question is:
Can I reinstall without losing it all or there is another solution?

    Error mounting /dev/sdd2 at /media/cm/780a98da-4ccf-46f8-a53b-f0f86181df7d:
There is no /dev/sdd. I only see /dev/sda, with three partitions, and /dev/sdb with one.

So what's the solution? I can't access my hard drive at all.

Re: I need your help with this mount problem

    carmatope; well,

We now know that the ubuntu install is on sda2; let's take a look and see what is set to mount.
    From the liveUSB;
    Code:
    sudo mkdir /mnt/look/
    sudo mount /dev/sda2 /mnt/look/
and now show us the output of terminal command:
    Code:
    cat /mnt/look/etc/fstab
Once done, back out of the mount operation to preclude file system corruption. You mounted it and the system does expect you to UN-mount.
    Code:
    sudo umount /dev/sda2
see where we stand in that process
