Start menu (application overview) icons too big

    Hi,

on my laptop, the application overview is showing big icons and also too close to each other.
I have attached 2 pictures, the first one from the Ubuntu application overview (or start menu), and the second one from Deepin, with more space between the icons, and less margins (left and right).
I would like to change the look and feel of the Gnome app overview to be similar to Deepin.
My technical knowledge is quite limited, but I am able to modify a css file if needed. I know there is a css file to change the size of the icons, but I don't know how to reduce the left and right margins, and to give more space between the icons.
Does anyone know how to do that?

Thanks Frogs Hair, I couldn't find any way to add more space between the icons, but by adding 2 extra columns they fill more the screen. All good
