Talking Problems installing DVWA/OWASP on Kali Linux

    Hello,

I recently installed Kali Linux on a new partition. I've been trying (unsuccessfully) to install DVWA and/or OWASP for penetration testing. I've attempted many different methods and types of troubleshooting. As the result of varous errors I've reinstalled apache2, mariahdb, etc.

At this point I'm not sure what the problem is.

Today I attempted to follow the steps listed here: <url redacted>
Everything appears to go fine until I navigate to <url redacted> at the end and receive the message "Unable to connect

Firefox can’t establish a connection to the server at 127.0.0.1"

Could someone please help with this? What info can I provide to help discern the problem?

    Thanks much!

    Moved to Ubuntu/Debian BASED.

We do not allow discussions of penetration testing on the Ubuntu Forums.

I suggest posting your question here.
