    No wifi adapter found.

I have an old HP Pavilion laptop, and I booted up Ubuntu on it for the first time instead of windows, to get a little extra life out of it. However, I receive a message "no wifi adapter found" when I attempt to connect to wifi. Hopefully somebody can help, I am new to Ubuntu, so I may need some help with this. Thanks in advance.

Thread moved to Networking & Wireless for a more appropriate fit.

Hi, please click on the wireless script in my signature, follow the directions for running it and posting the results back here using the pastebin link created and someone should be able to help you.

    Re: No wifi adapter found.

As far as I understand, the issue is there's no connection at all, so it's impossible to install pastebinit. The very thing popping in my head is to reinstall OS because I'm running into something similar occasionally

    Re: No wifi adapter found.

Reinstalling will most likely not fix the users issue and in all most all cases totally unnecessary, and he only mentions wifi so he should be able to run the sccript without issue and if not there are other ways to do so.
