    dual boot ubuntu and windows

    so, i've installed ubuntu (16.4) but ever since i cann't upload windows. when GRUB opens it lets me choose ubuntu or windows (and some other stuff) but when i choose windows it says "the boot configuration data for your pc is missing or contains errors"

    i've tried to bring the computer back to manufacturer settings but whenever i restart the problem reapears.. anyone has an idea?

    I don't suppose you read the deteailed instructions and information at the Ubuntu site before beginning, link below. Is this windows 10 you have? You may have done a Legacy install while windows was UEFI, very common error by new user so reading the link below may give you some suggestions on possible solutions. If you can boot Ubuntu, go to the link below and download boot repair and run it per the instructions on the page. Make sure to select the option to Create Boot Info Summary and do not try to make any repairs. Post the link you get when it finishes here so that members can view it and make suggestions.
