Can't paste code in Ubuntu server 18.04

    Hi,

Lately I installed Ubuntu server 18.04 on Oracle VirtualBox in windows 10. The installation is relatively easy, in VirtualBox system settings, I chose bidirectional for shared clipboard as suggested. But after login, there are two problems. 1. I can't see the mouse cursor / pointer in Ubuntu, but the mouse works fine in windows 10, the mouse is Logitech wireless mouse. 2. I can't paste the copied lines of code from windows 10 environment into Ubuntu server after $ prompt, using either Control+V or Control + Shift+V. I notice other people posted similar issues in the past for different versions, and I tried those suggested resolutions, but all failed. Please advise there are other suggestions.

I think this is a VirtualBox issue and might not Ubuntu specific.

You can try using shift + insert to paste what you have copied.
