    18.04 .desktop unstrusted application launcher

    Hello,

I have multiple .desktop to set up on 80 computers
Since ubuntu 18.04 the .desktop tells me "Untrusted Application Launcher" & asks what I want to do.

Does anyone know a way to apply the "mark as trusted"? Does it add the file in a trusted list somewhere?
Anyone have idea how it works now in 18.04

    Thx for help

Does running this command in Terminal help? -
    Code:
    chmod +x <yourfile.desktop>
replacing <yourfile.desktop> with the actual path to your .desktop file
    Xubuntu 22.04, ArchLinux ♦ System76 hardware, virt-manager/KVM, VirtualBox

This does not work anymore since 18.04
Even when the application is executable it still asks about trustable application

What I discovered is that you can right-click the desktop launcher, and then mark it as executable. Then it works as trusted.

When I right-click the desktop launcher in Ubuntu Studio 18.04, I get a pop-up menu, with no option to mark it as executable. If I click on "Properties" in the pop-up menu, I get a dialog with a tab labeled "Permissions" which includes an "execute" checkbox (see https://askubuntu.com/a/10427/159517). However, this checkbox is greyed out and cannot be activated. How can I make my desktop launchers work?
