    Installing Icon theme

    Hello,

I have tried to install numix-white-master icon theme by following the suggested guidelines on youtube, but it is not working for me.

    The steps I have taken:

    1) Downloaded and extracted numix-white-master
    2) gksudo thunar to access the hidden icons folder
    3) Pasted the numix-white-master file to the icons folder </usr/share/icons/> in the file system.

The numix icons are nowhere to be seen under the icons setting.

they worked fine for me, just downloaded the zip & extracted, went in grabbed numix & numix-white, then put them in ~/.icons
they were in appearance right away.

    Re: Installing Icon theme

    Hi,

Have I selected the correct folder?: /usr/share/icons/

OK, I see now what the problem was. Extraction alone is not sufficient. There are folders within the extracted folder that have to be transferred to the icons folder.

Issue solved - thanks for your quick help.
