    Ok, I reinstalled the driver again as following and everything is working perfectly, i dont know why it did not work before...

    sudo apt-get install git linux-headers-generic build-essential dkms
    git clone https://github.com/Mange/rtl8192eu-linux-driver
    cd rtl8192eu-linux-driver
    sudo dkms add .
    sudo dkms install rtl8192eu/1.0

    Moved to Ubuntu/Debian based as it involves Elementary OS

    I am not sure what happens in some of these kernels but I suspect the module is getting built against the wrong headers somehow
