AMD Epyc -- 18.04 doesn't work

We had horrible problems with Ubuntu 17.10 on AMD EPYC 7601 dual core servers. It would reset for no reason multiple times per day. If we were lucky, we would get a solid 48 hours before a reset.

Ubuntu 16.04 works flawlessly. Did not have a chance to test Ubuntu 16.10 or 17.04.

I'm curious if these issues have been resolved in the LTS release of 18.04. We plan to use AMD EPYC or similar AMD processors for many of our datacenter operations, and this was a very disappointing discovery in the 17.x series of Ubuntu.
