No audio since kernel 4.4.0-121 upgrade

Hi,

I'm just wondering if it's just me, but I haven't had any audio on my system since yesterdays 4.4.0-121 generic #145 Ubuntu SM upgrade. I'm running Ubuntu 16.04.4 LTS with the KDE Plasma desktop. Any one else having audio problems?

Today's upgrade to 4.4.0-122-generic kernel #146 seems to have wiped out everything audio related on the system (apparently). I don't even have the volume control icon showing up in the toolbar anymore. Does anyone here know ALL of the packages needed to possibly get audio working again in Kubuntu 16.04.4 LTS? I really don't feel like reinstalling everything if I can help it.

I feel really dumb here, turned out to be a flaky speaker cable. Ah well, learned a lot about trying to troubleshoot (K)Ubuntu audio problems.
