    Qualcomm Atheros (QCA9377) Firmware Problem

    Hello community,

i wanted to post this here, as i think this is an important "bug" that needs to be fixed.

The Problem with qualcomm atheros wifi cards:
On Linux, any distro, my wifi card cannot connect to mac secured networks and where i go to school they have mac filtering on. When using Linux on my Acer Aspire E5 575G i am not able to get a connection done in school, but we really need internet for getting work done. So i am kind of forced to use Windows, because the wifi works on Windows 10.
We have already checked for why it is not working and we can only say that it is the firmware that causes my laptop to not connect with the wifi.

Maybe someone knows any firmware that makes this work. Or some developers that could try making it work.

I can connect to any other wifi.

You should contact the ath10k devs, they have a mailing list, http://lists.infradead.org/mailman/listinfo/ath10k
I doubt if many kernel devs spend much time reading the forums
