I've been playing it since two weeks ago, having bought the beta directly from the redoubtable Beamdog, and yes, there are improvements. I will say that if you don't want to pay $20 for the EE and keep your existing NWN folder, knock yourself out. For myself, I have happily bought NWN for the third time, just as I bought Planescapt:Torment for the third time. WELL worth it.
