UBUNTU 16.04.1 LTS Gnome

Hello,

I have a liveDVD -RW containing Ubuntu-Gnome

I received a message talking of errors.

What surprised me was the appearance of a login prompt asking for my username and password. What should I type?

Presumably, I need to make another disk because of the apparent errors; but, this time I will use a DVD -R.

Is Ubuntu-Gnome well though of in the community?

since ubuntu itself is now using gnome in 17.10 & beyond, i think only the gnome purist will use it if they want that stock gnome experience.
on the whole i think most people are fine with ubuntu tweaking gnome to be like unity, yet you can still tweak it yourself, something unity was lacking.
