Ultracopier 1.4 packages

Hi,

I'm unsure about place to post.
Ubuntu have Ultracopier 0.3 (+5 years), now version 1.4 is release, debian support 1.2.
Into the version 1.2 and 1.4, great effort was done to be very easy for Linux distro to integrate it.

Please can you integrate the version 1.4 into the last ubuntu version?

to contact the MOTU (Masters Of The Universe are volunteers who maintain packages in the Universe repo). I see that the version you are asking about is ready for Bionic Beaver (18.04), which will be released in April.

Reply of the maintener about update from 1.4.0.3 to 1.4.0.4: I don't control what version Ubuntu gets. I upload into Debian and as long as Ubuntu is in development mode they will take that version eventually. If not, they will keep the version they have until a release is done.
