I was on the fence about this because typically, ultra wides and shorter (height wise), than "normal" monitors. I ended up buying this:

and don't regret it. I game, do some amateur photo work and writing. It uses DP hooked to an Nvidia GTX 1050Ti and works perfectly. Not the best monitor for photo editing but I am not a professional photographer. I like this one because it is 3440x1440, which is actually taller than the 1928x1200 I replaced it with. I am happy and don't regret the purchase. If I had the desk space I would have gone bigger but I don't...
