DTP / PDF creation software recommendation

Hello,

I'm an owner of a small server software company and I will be soon looking into hiring professionals to create for us the kind of PDF presentations that can be found here:

We are a Linux-only shop but we are backend people, I don't know what software can be used to create such documents.

At the same time, I would like to tell the people that I am about to hire to use open-source programs so as to allow us to have access to everything in the future, if need be.

Can anyone please recommend what this sort of software for Ubuntu could be? This is mostly for screen display but may be possibly for print too.

Scribus as DTP, LibreOffice as wordprocessor. You can export .pdf directly with no intermediary software. I am using that stuff every day and I like it.
