    Disk image writer non existent, installed brasero

    Hope it works, I need to write an iso to a dvd.

    Brasero will do it fine. I personally like xfburn it's lighter and faster.

    brasero was dropped from the Ubuntu default install before the 16.04 LTS releases.

    burning nowadays use a usb stick instead.

    Brasero worked.
    I had downloaded a win10 disc imagefrom MS to do a win10 full reinstall on a PC where the hard drive failed. I have a stack of DVD+RW might as well use them.

    yes, it was ok. The brasero eject disc process was a little flakey.
    did not want to eject the disc after writing.
    It opened the tray, then it closed it again. Anyhow it was a little odd.
