    the priority in top

So i was reading about linux and noticed that processes have priorites ranging from 0-99 if they have real time priority and 100-139 for normal priority.
But in a program like top it would seem they've choosen to taken away the real priority numbers instead they show 0 to 39 for normal priority and rt for realtime

Can i change it so it shows the real numbers?

You might want to try htop, which is top on steroids. Much easier to stop a process than top does. It appears to me to show the correct priorities.
