@gordintoronto give this a try if you would please.
    Code:
    grep "NVIDIA(GPU-0)" /var/log/Xorg.0.log |head -17| cut -d\: -f2
I'm just curious if it shows your Dell Monitor.

Yup, among other things, it says:
    CRT-1
    DELL U2412M (DFP-0)

Re: Command to find maker of monitor

    Hi all,

    I got it. Thanks

    ⟫ grep "NVIDIA(GPU-0)" /var/log/Xorg.0.log |head -17| cut -d\: -f2
    Code:
     Found DRM driver nvidia-drm (20150116)
     CRT-0
     DFP-0
     DELL U2515H (DFP-1)
The EDID for DELL U2515H (DFP-1) contradicts itself
"720x480" is specified in the EDID; however, the EDID's
valid HorizSync range (30.000-113.000 kHz) would exclude
this mode's HorizSync (15.7 kHz); ignoring HorizSync check
         for mode "720x480".
The EDID for DELL U2515H (DFP-1) contradicts itself
"720x576" is specified in the EDID; however, the EDID's
valid HorizSync range (30.000-113.000 kHz) would exclude
this mode's HorizSync (15.6 kHz); ignoring HorizSync check
         for mode "720x576".
The EDID for DELL U2515H (DFP-1) contradicts itself
"720x576" is specified in the EDID; however, the EDID's
valid VertRefresh range (56.000-86.000 Hz) would exclude
    CRT-0
    DFP-0
