    sounds driver installed.

    My sounds driver did not install. NO sound
    When I go to sounds settings the profile says: "Analog Stereo Output" with nothing else to select.
    When I test speakers there is no sound.

    Everything looks okay there. The correct driver is installed/used for onboard and HDMI audio devices. Maybe it is a pulseaudio problem?

    Didn't do anything but send the info you asked for and suddenly sound is working. Thanks for helping. Not sure what happened.

    and to add to that the terminal will not let me copy the text output on it now so I can paste it in here.

    ok, so i discovered that when i close the lid to the laptop, wait a moment and then reopen and log back in the audio works. Rebooting kills whatever that fixes.
