Also thank you so much for all of your help, one of the main reasons I chose Ubuntu as a new linux user is because I was told the community support couldn't be beat, and I am so grateful to see just how true that is!

Re: Wireless Driver Realtek rtl8812au Stopped Working

I'm running the beta for Kubuntu 18.04 and found it would install the driver from the Driver Manager screen.

    It uses this package: https://packages.ubuntu.com/search?k...rtl8812au-dkms

You could try removing the driver you have and running "sudo apt install rtl8812au-dkms" or look into the Driver Manager app.

This package exists for 16.04LTS and later releases.

Do you have any issues with that package when you have a kernel update? Or have you patched the Makefile and/or dkms.conf?

Haven't seen a kernel update since I used this method. I'll post back if one comes down the pike in the near future.
